Discovering God's Truth

For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

Hebrews 4:12 ESV

Unveiling the Mysteries of the Kingdom

Welcome to the Chosen Army, where we uphold and proclaim God’s truth as revealed in Scripture and the teachings of the early church. In contrast to the prevailing trends of varied interpretations and human doctrines within the modern church, we steadfastly adhere to timeless biblical principles that have faithfully guided Christians for centuries. Our mission transcends mere education, we are committed to equipping believers to embody and share this unadulterated truth, showcasing the profound impact of God’s Word in transforming lives.

At the core of our journey lies the revelation of God’s kingdom mysteries, passed down through the faithful witness of the early church. As Jesus declared in Matthew 13:11, these mysteries are unveiled to those who seek His truth, contrasting sharply with the doctrinal confusion prevalent in contemporary Christianity. Grounded in apostolic traditions and early Christian writings, we delve into these profound truths—God’s redemptive plan, the nature of His kingdom, and the spiritual realities that define our existence. Empowered by the Holy Spirit, we earnestly strive to live out and proclaim these truths, aiming to fortify our faith and impact our world with the life-transforming message of Jesus Christ.

The Authority of Scripture

We uphold the Bible as the inspired and authoritative Word of God. It serves as the ultimate standard in matters of faith and conduct, revealing God’s character, His plan for humanity, and the pathway to salvation. As the Apostle Paul affirmed, “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness” (2 Timothy 3:16 ESV).

The Nature of God

We profess belief in one true and living God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This Triune God, perfect in His attributes, governs all creation and actively engages with His people. Our faith rests in His sovereignty, holiness, and unwavering love, as detailed throughout Scripture (Deuteronomy 32:3-4, John 17:17).

Salvation through Jesus Christ

Central to our faith is the conviction that salvation is exclusively found through Jesus Christ. He, being fully God and fully man, lived a sinless life, sacrificed Himself for our sins, and triumphantly rose from the dead, thereby defeating sin and death. Through repentance and faith in Him, we are reconciled to God and receive the gift of eternal life (Romans 5:8, Acts 4:12).

Role of the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit, bestowed by God, convicts the world of sin and empowers believers for service. He resides within every believer, sealing them for the day of redemption and equipping them with spiritual gifts for ministry (Ephesians 1:13-14, 1 Corinthians 12:4-11). We emphasize the Spirit’s indispensable guidance in comprehending Scripture and living out God’s truth in daily life.

The Church as the Body of Christ

We affirm that the Church is the body of Christ, with Jesus as its head. It is through the Church that God’s purposes are fulfilled on earth, including worship, discipleship, and the proclamation of the Gospel (Ephesians 1:22-23, Matthew 28:19-20). The Church embodies a unified community of believers empowered by the Holy Spirit to impact the world with God’s love and truth.

The Significance of the Early Church

The early church, as seen in the New Testament and further elucidated by early Christian writings like the Didache and Apostolic Constitutions, provides a foundational model for our faith and practice. In its infancy, the church was characterized by a steadfast adherence to the apostles’ teachings, unity in fellowship, and a vibrant expression of spiritual gifts guided by the Holy Spirit.

Unity and Doctrinal Purity

The early church maintained a unity of faith and practice, grounded in the apostles’ teachings as recorded in the New Testament. They emphasized doctrinal purity and resisted deviations from the Gospel message, as evidenced in Paul’s writings warning against false teachings (Galatians 1:6-9, 2 Thessalonians 2:15).

Spiritual Vitality

Acts of the Apostles depicts the early church as a community marked by spiritual vitality and the miraculous workings of the Holy Spirit. Believers were empowered for bold witness and equipped with diverse spiritual gifts necessary for building up the body of Christ (Acts 2:42-47, 1 Corinthians 12).

Persecution and Perseverance

Despite facing persecution and challenges, the early Christians remained steadfast in their faith, finding strength and comfort in communal worship, prayer, and mutual support (Acts 4:23-31, Hebrews 10:32-39).

Witness to the World

The early church fulfilled Christ’s commission to spread the Gospel, starting from Jerusalem and extending to the ends of the earth. Their uncompromising commitment to proclaiming Jesus as Lord and Savior resulted in the rapid growth and expansion of Christianity across diverse cultural contexts (Acts 1:8; Colossians 1:6).
